Incident #1201

At 13:30 on Sunday 15th September Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team received a request from Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) to assist with the evacuation of a female who had sustained a lower leg injury whilst out walking.

18 CVSRT members were available to respond and deployed in team vehicles or attended directly to the incident on the Harewood Estate.

The casualty’s injuries were assessed by CVSRT members who were first on scene. Once the casualty had received pain relief and had her leg splinted, she was packaged and stretchered a short distance to an awaiting ambulance.

Thanks to security staff at Harewood Estate for assisting CVSRT and YAS with access.
