Incident #1017

CVSRT received a request from Yorkshire Ambulance Service Request to assist with locating and evacuating of a female who had become unwell near the Gaddings Dam.

17 CVSRT members were available to respond immediately and made their way to the scene. Calder Mobile 2 (CM2) was first to arrive at our location, followed by CM1 and then CM3.

On arrival, CVSRT dispatched 2 runners to find the casualty. Once she was found and assessed, a fell party was sent to the location. The casualty was diabetic and had become unwell whilst out walking. She was cared for on-scene by a team doctor and YAS paramedics and made a good recovery. The lady was well enough to walk off the hill escorted by the team.
