Incident #1051

At 13:54 today, CVSRT were alerted to our 68th incident of the year.

On the moors above Haworth, a man was experiencing dizzy spells which required medical assistance and help off the hill. During this time, 12 CVSRT members responded immediately following a request by Yorkshire Ambulance Service to help the inbound Yorkshire Air Ambulance crew with the evacuation of the casualty.

Once the first fell party arrived on scene, it transpired that the Yorkshire Air Ambulance crew had managed to land very close to the casualty and stabilised him. After a short flight to the car-park at Penistone Country Park, CVSRT members helped the crews to transfer the man from the air ambulance and the land ambulance for transport to hospital.

Once the ambulance and helicopter were on their way, the team headed back to base to restock kit and clean vehicles in preparation for the next callout.
