CVSRT received a request from Yorkshire Ambulance Service and West Yorkshire Police to assist a female walker who had fallen and injured her leg.

The casualty had fallen whilst dog walking and could not place weight on her right leg. A neighbour and three police officers managed to move the casualty to their Land Rover, and then transported her to Bacup Road to await the ambulance.

Once on-scene, CVSRT members gave basic casualty care and entonox whilst the ambulance arrived.

CVSRT received a request from West Yorkshire Police to assist with the search of a vulnerable 27yo male who had left his home address in a distressed condition.

All areas tasked by the police were cleared and the team stood down and returned to base at 04:30am then onward to their homes.

The missing male was reported found alive later that day at his friends house.

At 20:51, CVSRT were called to assist West Yorkshire Police with the ongoing search for a vulnerable female who had been reported missing from Calderdale Royal Hospital. Earlier in the evening the police helicopter (NPAS Carr Gate) had searched and cleared all open areas.

24 Team members with Search dog ‘Pepper’ were available to respond immediately and once on-scene were tasked with clearing a large area of dense undergrowth in the Manor Heath Park area of Halifax.

At 22:06, Search dog ‘Pepper’ with hander Ellie located the missing female alive, but in need of medical assistance. Team doctors were quickly in attendance and the casualty was then transferred to hospital for further care.
