CVSRT received a request from Holme Valley Mountain Rescue Team to assist with an on going missing persons search near Methley.

We provided additional fell party members, including our water team to do water margins and search dog team to search woodland.

CVSRT leaders were called to assist West Yorkshire Police with the search planning for a missing person in the Thornton/Denholme area. Just before the full team were about to be called out, the missing person turned up safe and well.

CVSRT received a request from Yorkshire Ambulance Service to assist with an injured female horse rider who had fallen from her horse sustaining a shoulder and leg injury.

26 CVSRT members were available to respond and immediately made their way to the scene of the incident. Once on-scene, team members assisted the ambulance crew with the casualty’s care and then packaged and transferred her by stretcher to a road ambulance for onward journey to hospital.
