The gentleman was part of a walking group who were approaching the trig at Blackstone Edge when he became ill. The casualty’s well-being is always a priority and as the location was on the border of our operational area, both teams were deployed.
Once on-scene, the casualty was treated by North West Air Ambulance (NWAA) paramedics and transferred to the helicopter by team members from Oldham MRT and CVSRT, for the onward journey to hospital:
Both teams stood down and returned to their respective base.
