At 14:30, CVSRT received a request from West Yorkshire Police to assist with the ongoing search for a vulnerable missing 59yo female who was reported missing from home at 10:20am on the 11th April.

Whilst team members assembled to commence the search, CVSRT leaders and search managers attended the Police Station for a briefing where they were tasked with searching wooded and open areas. An additional search dog team also joined the search from Oldham Mountain Rescue Team.

Whilst this initial search continued, the next area of interest was identified and our search managers made ready to deploy the team. Before this could happen, a member of the public found the missing female in this new area of interest, and alerted the police.

CVSRT instantly deployed a vehicle to the casualty’s location to provided immediate medical care until the ambulance crew arrived on scene.

At 19:30 the team stood down and returned to base.
