It is wonderful that the team, which is entirely voluntary, has gone from strength to strength over the last 50 years and is now a respected emergency service operating over 400 square miles of West Yorkshire and working alongside the Police, Ambulance and Fire Service. During its existence, it has dealt with upwards of 900 callouts. Most of these fall within Yorkshire, but the team has also assisted other rescue teams outside this area.

It is hoped that the stories and pictures displayed in this booklet gives the reader a clear insight into the workings of the team and that the community, which the team serves, can feel confident to continue providing its invaluable support in the future.
