Core Skills Training Day
On Saturday, CVSRT spent the day at the Castle Carr Estate focusing on Core Skills Training. During the morning session, members were divided into groups and worked through five skill stations including; casualty care, timed stretcher circuits, rope system evacuation, search techniques and water rescue safety. In the afternoon, teams put these core skills to good use and were deployed to various search and rescue incident scenarios within the estate.
CVSRT would like to thank a few people who made all this possible. Firstly, thanks to the owner of Castle Carr estate, Mr Frank Schofield and Yorkshire Water for their kind permission and for allowing the team access to the beautiful estate. Secondly to our numerous casualties and make-up artists, who made the scenarios very life-like and believable. Thanks also to several of our Active Supporters Group who kindly provided additional assistance at the skills stations and fed the troops at lunchtime.
As you can see by these great photographs captured by Mr Kevin Tynan Bowe, it was an excellent training day in a stunning location.
