Incident #1349

At 11:13 on Sunday 2nd May 2021 Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team (CVSRT) received a request from Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) to assist with the evacuation of a male who had fallen near woodland off Moor Rd, Burley Woodhead.
 
The casualty was initially attended to by an off-duty nurse and upon arrival of CVSRT a further assessment was completed and support from Yorkshire Air Ambulance (YAA) requested.
 
YAA provided pain relief and CVSRT packaged the casualty onto a stretcher and transferred them a short distance into the helicopter for onward travel to Leeds General Infirmary (LGI).
 
Everyone at CVSRT wishes the casualty a speedy recovery.
