Incident #1357

#CALLOUT

At 10:28 on Saturday 29th May 2021 Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team (CVSRT) received a request from Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) to assist with the evacuation of a male who had fallen whilst out walking near Leeshaw Reservior Stanbury, suffering a lower leg injury.

CVSRT were first on scene and provided initial medial care and pain relief. The casualty was then placed into a protective and immobilising vacuum mattress, onto a wheeled stretcher and transferred to a nearby farm and awaiting ambulance.

We would like to thank the owners of Drop Farm Tea Rooms who provided much welcome refreshments to the team.
