Incident #1461

At 15:43 on Tuesday 9th August 2022, Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team (CVSRT) received a request from Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) to assist with a teenage male who had slipped and fallen on some rocks in water near Hallas Bridge, suffering a back injury.
CVSRT were first on scene and provided initial medical care and pain relief.  The casualty was placed in a protective and immobilising vacuum mattress along with a foil blanket and heat pads. They were then transferred onto a stretcher and carried to the waiting ambulance.
