Incident #1498 Jumble Hole

At 12:20 on Sunday 19th March 2023, Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team (CVSRT) received a request from Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) to assist with the extraction of a female who had fallen whilst out walking near Jumble Hole, Hebden Bridge, suffering an ankle injury.

CVSRT were first on scene and provided initial medical care and pain relief, placing the ankle in a protective vacuum splint.  The casualty was then transferred into a warming casualty bag and onto a stretcher.

The extraction included a steep rope assisted climb to reach the farm above and awaiting ambulance.

Thank you to the local land owners for allowing access and use of their land.
