At 14:40 on Saturday 29th January 2022, Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team (CVSRT) received a request from Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) to assist with a female who had been struck and trapped by a falling tree branch whilst out walking near Sunnydale Reservoir, East Morton. 
 
YAS and the Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) were first on scene and provided medical care and pain relief before removing the branch.  Upon arrival of CVSRT the casualty was placed into a protective and warming vacuum mattress, onto a stretcher and carried out of the woods to a CVSRT vehicle.  The vehicle was able to drive along the track to the road head and transfer the casualty to the waiting ambulance.

At 15:18 on Saturday 22nd January 2022 Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team (CVSRT) received a request from Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) to assist with a male who had collapsed whilst out walking in Cromwell Bottom Nature Reserve.
 
YAS were first on scene and provided medical care.  Upon arrival of CVSRT the casualty was placed into a warming winter casualty bag, onto a stretcher then transferred out of the woods and along the canal tow path to the waiting ambulance.

YAS were first on scene and provided medical care and pain relief.  Upon arrival of CVSRT the casualty was placed into a warming winter casualty bag, onto a stretcher and transferred to the waiting ambulance.
