1498 Jumble Hole

At 12:20 on Sunday 19th March 2023, Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team (CVSRT) received a request from Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) to assist with the extraction of a female who had fallen whilst out walking near Jumble Hole, Hebden Bridge, suffering an ankle injury.
 
CVSRT were first on scene and provided initial medical care and pain relief, placing the ankle in a protective vacuum splint.  The casualty was then transferred into a warming casualty bag and onto a stretcher.
 
The extraction included a steep rope assisted climb to reach the farm above and awaiting ambulance. 
 
Thank you to the local land owners for allowing access and use of their land.

At 12:15 on Friday 17th March 2023, Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team (CVSRT) received a request from Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) to assist with the extraction of a female who had fallen whilst out walking in Guisley.
 
The Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) were on scene first, able to safely extract the casualty and CVSRT were stood down.

1496 Pecket Well

At 20:36 on Saturday 11th March 2023, Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team (CVSRT) received a request from Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) to assist with the evacuation of a patient from their home, near Pecket Well.
 
YAS were first on scene, following a walk in the snow after leaving their ambulance safely on the main road, and provided initial medical care.  
 
Following a full assessment by YAS, the casualty was able to remain at home, the YAS crew could safely return to their vehicle, and CVSRT were stood down.

1495 Fly Flatts

At 10:56 on Saturday 11th March 2023, Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team (CVSRT) received a request from Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) to assist with accessing an unwell passenger in a stranded vehicle on Fly Flatts Road.
 
YAS were first on scene, after being taken to the casualty by a local resident in their 4x4, and provided initial medical care.  
 
Upon arrival of CVSRT the driver and passenger were evacuated along with the YAS crew, in a team vehicle, back to the main road and awaiting ambulance.
