At 16:29 Saturday 3rd Apr 2021 Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team (CVSRT) received a request from Rossendale and Pendle Mountain Rescue Team (RPMRT) to assist with the evacuation of a male who had suffered a knee injury whilst out mountain biking on the Pennine Bridleway near Calderbrook.
 
CVSRT sent a small team direct from our callout in Elland to the incident. Upon arrival we provided assistance transferring the casualty onto a wheeled stretcher and evacuating him to a nearby farm and the awaiting ambulance.

At 14:53 on Saturday 3rd April 2021 Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team (CVSRT) received a request from Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) to assist with the evacuation of a male who had fallen from a quad bike in Elland Park Wood.
 
CVSRT were first on scene and provided initial medical care and pain relief. The casualty was transferred into an immobilising vacuum mattress, onto a stretcher and carried approximately 500m out of the woods to the awaiting ambulance.

At 13:06 on Saturday 3rd Apr 2021 Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team (CVSRT) received a request from West Yorkshire Police (WYP) to assist with the evacuation of a male who had suffered a shoulder injury following a fall at Havok Bike Park, Todmorden.

CVSRT were first on scene and completed an initial medical assessment. The casualty was then provided pain relief, transferred into an immobilising vacuum mattress, onto a stretcher and carried a short distance to the awaiting ambulance.

Thank you to the staff at Havok for providing additional insulation for the casualty while awaiting our arrival.

At 17:10 on Friday 2nd April 2021 Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team (CVSRT) received a request from Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) to assist with the evacuation of a female who had fallen whilst out walking near Bronte waterfall, suffering a head injury.
 
CVSRT were first on scene and completed an initial medical assessment. The casualty was able to be assisted off the hill on foot to the road head and the awaiting ambulance.
