At 22:02 on Sunday 16th May 2021 Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team (CVSRT) received a request from West Yorkshire Police (WYP) to assist with the search of a missing male in Hardcastle Crags.
 
As CVSRT were mobilising resources to scene WYP located the missing person safe and well and the team were stood down.

At 13:03 on Sunday 16th May 2021 Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team (CVSRT) received a request from Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) to assist with the evacuation of a female who had fallen whilst out walking in Sun Wood, Coley suffering a lower leg injury.
 
CVSRT were first on scene and provided initial medial care and pain relief, immobilising the injured leg in a box splint. The casualty was then placed into a warming winter casualty bag, onto a stretcher and transferred to shelter next to the teams control vehicle.
 
At this point the Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) provided further medical care and pain relief, the casualty was then transferred to the road head in their specialist off road vehicle and into the awaiting ambulance.

At 02:32 on Saturday 15th May 2021 Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team (CVSRT) received a request from Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) to assist with the evacuation of a male who had fallen in Eaves Wood, Hebden Bridge suffering a lower leg injury.
 
YAS were first on scene and provided initial medical care and pain relief. Upon arrival of CVSRT further medical care was provided and the injured leg was placed into an immobilising splint.  The the casualty was then packaged into a warming winter casualty bag, onto a wheeled stretcher and transported out of the woods to the awaiting ambulance.

At 15:14 on Wednesday 5th May 2021 Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team (CVSRT) received a request from Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) to assist with the evacuation of a male who had fallen whilst walking through woodland in Shipley, suffering a head and shoulder injury.
 
CVSRT members local to the area were first on scene, completed an initial assessment of the casualty and directed YAS to their location.  YAS were able to assist the casualty, on foot, to the ambulance with remaining CVSRT members who were still en-route stood down.

At 17:50 on Tuesday 4th May 2021 Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team (CVSRT) received a request from West Yorkshire Police (WYP) to assist with the search of a missing male in Addingham.
 
As CVSRT commenced a search of the area around the last sighting of the missing person news was received that WYP had located the casualty safe and well just outside Leeds.

At 16:25 on Tuesday 4th May 2021 Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team (CVSRT) received a request from Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) to assist with the locating and evacuation of a casualty reported to be heard shouting for help near the riverside at Kirkstall Abbey.
 
Upon arrival at the reported location CVSRT joined the Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) in a joint effort to search the river, rivers edge and surrounding land.
 
All search areas were completed with no casualty found.  Whilst this turned out to be a mistaken call for help it was made with the best intentions.

At 11:13 on Sunday 2nd May 2021 Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team (CVSRT) received a request from Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) to assist with the evacuation of a male who had fallen near woodland off Moor Rd, Burley Woodhead.
 
The casualty was initially attended to by an off-duty nurse and upon arrival of CVSRT a further assessment was completed and support from Yorkshire Air Ambulance (YAA) requested.
 
YAA provided pain relief and CVSRT packaged the casualty onto a stretcher and transferred them a short distance into the helicopter for onward travel to Leeds General Infirmary (LGI).
 
Everyone at CVSRT wishes the casualty a speedy recovery.
