At 13:34 on Sunday 29th January 2023, Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team (CVSRT) received a request from Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) to assist with the extraction of a female who had fallen whilst bouldering at Caley Crags, Otley Chevin, suffering a lower leg injury.

 

YAS were first on scene and provided initial medical care and pain relief.  The casualty was then placed into an immobilising and protecting vacuum mattress and a warming winter casualty bag, transferred onto a stretcher, and carried down to the road head and awaiting ambulance.

At 13:26 on Saturday 28th January 2023, Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team (CVSRT) received a request from Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) to assist with the extraction of a female who had fallen whilst out walking in Hardcastle Crags, suffering a lower leg injury.

 

CVSRT were first on scene and provided initial medical care and pain relief.  The casualty was then placed into a warming winter casualty bag, transferred onto a stretcher, and carried out of the woods to the awaiting ambulance.

At 16:22 on Thursday 19th January 2023, Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team (CVSRT) received a request from Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) to assist with the extraction of a female who had fallen whilst out walking in Sun

 

Wood, Coley, suffering a suspected broken leg.

 

Yorkshire Air Ambulance (YAA) were first on scene and provided initial medical care and pain relief.  Upon arrival of CVSRT, the casualty was being transported out of the woods in a local farmers All Terrain Vehicle to the road head, and transferred to the waiting ambulance.
