Pastures new for Mobile 3

12 Apr 2016

CVSRT made the decision late last year to replace one of our Land rovers with a new vehicle, after much deliberation a Toyota Hilux Pickup was chosen and that new vehicle joined our fleet in early February.

The Land Rover still has plenty of life in it though and following a tradition within Mountain Rescue of passing on vehicles to other teams, CVSRT put out the word that a vehicle would soon be available.

Avon and Somerset S&R Team contacted us with a view to taking the vehicle as one of theirs is very soon to be taken off the road due to its age.

On Saturday their vehicles officer made the long trip up from Bristol to Mytholmroyd to collect the keys to the former CM3.

We hope the Land Rover serves Avon team well and continues in assisting to save lives and help people for many years to come.
