Javed Bhatti

22 Jan 2016

By now, most of you will be familiar with the recent Spine Challenger event and the inaugural Spine Mountain Rescue Challenge which covered 108miles from Edale to Hawes. Then there was the ‘Spine Race’ – dubbed Britain’s most brutal race, which encompassed the entire 268miles of The Pennine Way…but it doesn’t stop there!

One of the Spine Race competitors, a gent called Javed Bhatti, completed the epic winter ultra-marathon, finishing the route in 7-days at Kirk Yetholm on Saturday morning. But after a short rest, he’s turned around and began the journey back along the Pennine Way to Edale… an incredible total distance of 536miles.

At the time of writing, Javed had reached Gargrave and should be approaching our operational area on Saturday afternoon.

Please show your appreciation for this remarkable achievement by supporting and donating to his fundraising page: https://www.justgiving.com/Javed-Bhatti2/

Thank you.
