£2,500 donation from Lancashire Mark Masons

17 Mar 2016

Last month, Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team were kindly invited to attend a cheque presentation at the Rochdale Masonic Lodge, along with fellow Mountain Rescue Team representatives from Oldham, Rossendale & Pendle, Bolton and Bowland.

The very generous donation was in recognition of the MRTs voluntary services and assistance provided to the emergency service and local communities during the recent devastating floods that hit the region and surrounding areas.

Provincial Grand Master Alex McLaran presented the regional mountain rescue team with a cheque for £2,500 per team - that’s an incredible grand total of £12,500.00 donation.

CVSRT members, Steve Britton and Les Wilson were on-hand to gratefully accept the donation on behalf of the team, which will go towards increasing our Water Rescue response capabilities to the benefit of the local community.

CVSRT would like to extend our sincere thanks and gratitude to Lancashire Mark Masons for this very generous gift. Thank you.
