#Piece Hall Emergency Services Day

 

Thank you to everyone who came to see the team on Sunday 7th May at the Piece Hall, Halifax, as part of the Emergency Services Day.

 

It was an excellent event and was lovely to say hello and chat to so many people, the search dogs enjoyed all of the fuss too. 

 

Thank you to everyone who donated to CVSRT and purchased some merchandise.  We raised over £400 on the day!

 

You may have seen one of the team vehicles disappear for a short while in the afternoon as we were called out to assist the Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS). 

 

 

#CALLOUT 

 

At 16:17 on Monday 1st May 2023, Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team (CVSRT) received a request from Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) to assist with the extraction of a young mountain biker who had suffered a back injury whilst out riding in Shipley Glen. 

 

YAS were first one scene and following their initial assessment confirmed they had enough resources to safely extract the casualty and CVSRT were stood down.
