It is with great pleasure that we can now announce that the grand total raised from the team being chosen as the Sainsbury's (Wade Street Halifax), Charity of the Year is…£10,678.04.

CVSRT would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to all the Sainsbury’s colleagues at the Halifax store for their continued support and enthusiasm, and most importantly, a massive thank you to all the generous shoppers who have donated throughout the year.

This incredible amount is the culmination of: collection buckets on every check-out till, three fundraising days at the store, proceeds from a Quiz night and the sponsorship raised during the stores ‘Big Bike Ride’ last September plus a donation from the Sainsbury’s Community Grant scheme.

The money is very welcomed and gratefully received, and will go towards purchasing a new emergency response vehicle, which will replace one of our ageing Land Rover Defender 110’s. The new vehicle will cost in the region of £40,000 and will hopefully be in service in time for the teams 50th Anniversary celebrations in 2016.
