Team Training

Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team (CVSRT) were in Heptonstall on Tuesday evening for some group training, only the 2nd full team training session held since the start of the pandemic.  The training covered casualty immobilisation and packaging when dealing with potential neck, back, hip and upper leg injuries.

Joining the team throughout the evening was MP for Halifax, Holly Lynch.  Holly has agreed to represent Mountain Rescue England and Wales (MREW) at a national level, in Parliament, and re-establish the All Party Parliamentary Group.

As always a big thank you to our support members for giving up their time to act as casualties and to the Heptonstall Bowling Club for the use of their car park.
