Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team was requested by Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) to assist with the evacuation of a walker who had sustained a lower leg injury in a difficult-to-access location near Lumb Bank.

YAS crews responded, assessing and treating the casualty on scene. Once the patient had been fully assessed, our team supported the safe extrication, transporting the casualty by stretcher to the waiting ambulance.
