How you can support the Team
All members of CVSRT are 100% unpaid volunteers, drawn from a wide range of professions and backgrounds. Each person brings unique skills and experiences, and together they make our team stronger.
The same is true of the community around us. You may have a particular skill, trade, or professional expertise that could make a real difference to what we do. If so, we’d love to hear from you—please get in touch to discuss how you could get involved.
Keeping the team operational costs approximately £85,000 each year. This funding covers everything from maintaining and servicing our base, to fuelling and maintaining rescue vehicles, as well as providing vital medical and technical training. Every expense is essential and directly supports our ability to deliver life‑saving search and rescue services when they are needed most.
If you are able to help through the donation of a service or product, we would be delighted to hear from you. Please get in touch to discuss how your contribution could make a real difference.
Dog bodies and training casualties are absolutely vital to our training. They help us build and maintain a high‑quality search and rescue capability by allowing us to train realistically whatever the weather and whatever the season. The more lifelike our training, the better prepared we are for real call‑outs.
We’re always on the lookout for enthusiastic volunteers who are happy to get involved and help bring our training exercises to life.
If you’re aged 18 or over and would like to take part, we’d love to hear from you. Get in touch to find out when our next training session is happening, or to be added to our training casualty list and become part of the action.
CVSRT is out and about at a wide range of local fundraising events throughout the year, helping to raise vital funds that keep the team operational. From open days and galas to festivals and street collections, these events are a fantastic way for us to connect with the community while supporting our life‑saving work.
If you’re aged 18 or over and can spare a few hours to lend a hand, we’d love your support. Volunteering at an event is a great way to get involved, meet the team, and make a real difference. Simply get in touch via our enquiry form to find out how you can help.
Got an idea for a sponsored challenge, or thinking about organising a charity event to support the team? Whether it’s big or small, every effort helps keep our life‑saving work going.
Tell us about your plans and we’ll be happy to support you by helping spread the word and promoting your challenge or event across our social media channels. Together, we can turn your great idea into vital support for the team.
