Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team was requested to assist a casualty who had fallen approximately 15 feet down a waterfall. Following an assessment at the scene, it was determined that the casualty required urgent evacuation.

Team kit was transported to the casualty’s location, and a simple back-rope system was established to safely raise the stretcher up the steep embankment and transfer the casualty to the waiting Air Ambulance.

The casualty was then flown to hospital for further assessment and treatment.
