Luddenden Mayor’s Day & Village fete

Saturday 12th September, 1-3:30pm fete, 4pm Mayor Making followed by evening music festival.

Mayor’s Day has been part of Luddenden’s story for well over a century. What began as a small village celebration to mark the appointment of the Mayor has grown into a much‑loved annual tradition, a day that brings the community together with music, food, games, and the famous duck race. It’s one of those events that reminds everyone why the valley is such a special place.

This year, we’re honoured that Calder Valley Search & Rescue Team (CVSRT) has been chosen as a charity supported through the event.

Join us on Saturday 12th September in the beautiful grounds of St Mary’s Church for live music, food and drink, face painting, candyfloss, the duck race, raffle, charity auction, and plenty of entertainment for all ages.

Free entry. Everyone welcome.

Thank you to the Luddenden Mayor’s Group for choosing to support CVSRT, and thank you to everyone who helps keep our team operational through your generosity.
