CVSRT - January 2025
At 17:38 on Sunday, 12th January 2025, a request came in from West Yorkshire Police (WYP) to assist in evacuating 9 cars and passengers that were all stuck on Fly Flatts Rd in the ice.
 
Upon arrival of CVSRT, all passengers had been able to self-rescue. CVSRT checked the length of the road to ensure there were no further persons requiring assistance.

At 19:01 on Saturday, 11th January 2025, Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team (CVSRT) received a request from West Yorkshire Police (WYP) to assist with the evacuation of a pregnant female stuck in her car.
 
Upon arrival of CVSRT, official support members of the ongoing Montane Spine Race were towing the vehicle to safety. The casualty, who was uninjured and well, was transported back to the road head in a CVSRT team vehicle and reunited with her vehicle.

At 17:32 on Saturday, 11th January 2025, Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team (CVSRT) received a request from Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) to assist with the extraction of a walker who had slipped whilst out with their dog, suffering a lower leg injury.
 
CVSRT arrived first on the scene and provided initial medical care and pain relief. The casualty was then transferred into a warming and protective winter casualty bag, then onto a stretcher and carried out to the road head and awaiting ambulance.

At 17:14 on Tuesday, 7th January 2025, Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team (CVSRT) received a request from Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) to assist with the extraction of a 92-year-old male who had fallen inside his home and sustained a head injury. Due to the weather conditions, the YAS crew could not safely evacuate without assistance.
 
YAS was on the scene first and provided initial medical care. Upon arrival of CVSRT, the casualty was transferred into a warming and protective winter casualty bag, onto a stretcher, and carried to the ambulance.
