Incident #1395
At 12:36 on Saturday 18th September 2021 Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team (CVSRT) received a request from West Yorkshire Police (WYP) to assist with the evacuation of a male who had fallen whilst mountain biking in Havok Bike Park, Todmorden.
CVSRT were first on scene and provided initial medical care and pain relief. Following the arrival of Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) and Yorkshire Air Ambulance (YAA) additional pain relief was provided, the casualty was then placed in a protective and immobilising vacuum mattress onto a wheeled stretcher and carried out of the bike park to the awaiting Air Ambulance.
