Incident #1384
At 10:25 on Monday 16th August 2021 Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team (CVSRT) received a request from Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) to assist with the evacuation of a female who had fallen whilst out walking in Lyndhurst Wood suffering an ankle injury.
YAS were first on scene and provided initial medical care and pain relief, immobilising the injured ankle in a box splint.
Upon arrival of CVSRT additional medical care and pain relief was provided, the casualty was then placed into a warming winter casualty bag transferred onto a stretcher and carried out of the woods to the waiting ambulance.
